Cobblestone streets from around the world - NEW YORK

Cobbled street #3.

There's only one city that will turn me into an insomniac... What a wonderful surprise to find this picture here which, guess what, is available to buy from ETSY right here. Great perspective, impact and contrast. It's NEW YORK. Congrats to photographer Brian Tuchalski.

Alla prossima, Magda

NYC Subway mosaics inspire a designer to create stamps

New York and its amazing subway mosaics were the source of inspiration for designer Mala Desai who created these for a packaging project while still a student.

Interesting find, don't you think?

Romera Mosaic Vegetable Dish

Eating your vegetables can be easier if they look like this! This is a "mosaic" dish served at the Romera restaurant in New York with little tiles of dried herbs on which you pour in the soup and ....the "mosaic" is washed away while blending with the soup adding all that flavour in mosaic style!

It's never too late

I was blown away by this School of Visual Arts NY mosaic poster which I found on http://typobloger.blogspot.com.

Some interesting stuff there! A work of Louise Fili. Here's a picture of how the entire work looks. Love it!

The Mosaic Man, New York

I saw this breathtaking picture of Central Park in New York on LA Times today and thought..New York..one of the places I would love to visit. Look at those fascinating colours! On a whim I googled "new york mosaic" to see what happens and what do you think popped up? The Mosaic Man!!! A New Yorker who decorated lampposts with mosaic, an artist from East Village who in 2004 won a City Lore People’s Hall of Fame Award.

Here are some links for this unusual guy:
