Her name Zoe (Ζωή in Greek) means life and as I was reading what's on Wikipedia (she was a Byzantine Empress and born in the purple c. 978 – June 1050), I realised how intriguing and fascinating her life was. The Hopi woman in the picture is wearing turquoise mosaic earrings and a necklace of glass seed beads. Can you believe that the picture was taken in 1901?
