I'm Imooized

Some amazing jewelery from IMOOI including a mosaic pattern. I love the polished look of these! They might be a bit "industrial" but they are very classy.

Let's talk about men

I know that Winter is "officially" over and this was a Menswear A/W 2013 trend but I had to post this picture!

Look at the tile patterns on the jackets.......

Would you like to see your man wear this?

Everypiece counts in large amounts. ARTAIC's mosaic patterns

Even though I truly admire mosaic artists that work on very small scale mosaics, there's something about large scale mosaics covering entire walls and spaces that fascinates me. It's like with huge jewelry. They make a statement.

Whereas small mosaics or micro-mosaics embellish a space and give a special aura of dicontinuity among other decorative items, the role of giant mosaics is to make a statement. To define a space. Mosaic is what calls the shots. Every other element should follow the rules set by this mosaic work.

I'm particularly impressed with the "links" mosaic here. Perfect for high-tech spaces or anywhere. Strict, formal and chic. Absolutely chic.

Gold-leaf mosaic vases perfect for Lara Croft

Imad Punto Mosaico is a company from Ravenna that creates some very distinctive glistening mosaics that combine mixed media, Murano beads and a slight Aztec dimension to their mosaic style. Don't you see these vases somewhere inside a Lara Croft game or is it just me?

Very interesting work!

Mosaic Inspiration: Column from Monreale, Sicily

I couldn't resist. We have seen lots of mosaics from Monreale Sicily this last week from D&G's extraordinary Tailored Mosaic Winter 2014 collection that today - still wanting to remain within the theme of mosaics from Italy - I'm sharing this gem of inspiration. How you use this ...it's up to you. I would definitely consider (if I was to make mosaics) creating a mirror using this golden/turquoise pattern as a border.
